Getting started with proxies

New to proxies? Here's how to go from signup to your first working connection in a few minutes.

1. Pick a proxy type

ISP proxies suit account management and long-running sessions that need a stable identity. Residential and rotating proxies suit large-scale scraping and geo-restricted access. Datacenter proxies are the cheapest option when raw speed matters more than trust score. See the pricing page to compare all of them side by side.

2. Choose a plan size

Plans are sized by proxy count (dedicated IP types) or bandwidth (rotating types). Start small — you can always order another plan as your volume grows.

3. Grab your credentials

Once your order is fulfilled, your proxy list — IP, port, username and password — is available from your dashboard, with export and copy-to-clipboard built in.

4. Connect

Point your tool or script at the assigned IP and port over HTTP or SOCKS5, authenticating with the username and password from your dashboard. Most scraping and automation tools accept proxies in ip:port:username:password format directly.

5. Rotate or renew

Dedicated plans keep the same IPs for the life of the plan; rotating plans cycle automatically per request or session depending on your configuration. Renew before expiry from the billing section of your dashboard to avoid a gap in access.
